Former UPS air hub

Euro Demolition is proud to share progress on an exciting new project at East Midlands Airport, where we are carrying out a full-scale strip-out of the former UPS air hub.

This former air freight sorting and distribution facility once managed circa 11,000 packages per hour during its peak operations, playing a pivotal role in global logistics. Following the opening of a larger, state-of-the-art facility nearby in 2021, the site has remained un-operational for almost 5 years. Now, under new ownership, we are stripping out the building to prepare it for its next chapter, ensuring it is ready for redevelopment and renewed use.

Full-Scale Industrial Strip-out for site at East Midlands Airport

Our role in this project includes the removal of all cabling and plant and machinery such as the vast network of parcel conveyors and carousels and onward recycling of waste materials, delivering a comprehensive strip-out to prepare the building for its future use in line with the new owner’s vision.

Operating in close proximity to an active airport presents unique challenges, including strict regulations to ensure safety and minimal disruption to airport operations. Our team is adept at navigating such complexities, coordinating closely with airport authorities to comply with all necessary restrictions and protocols. This includes meticulous planning to manage noise levels, control dust, and schedule work to avoid interference with flight operations. Our proven ability to perform efficiently within these constraints underscores our expertise in handling industrial strip-out projects in sensitive environments.
